Our Mission

BRIMFIELD VINTAGE CLUB is a social club for vintage transport enthusiasts. We are passionate about preserving the heritage of classic transportation and collections. Our mission is to provide a community where like-minded people can come together to celebrate nostalgia while promoting the appreciation of the vintage culture.

Mission: Preserving the Past to Support the Future

The club’s mission is to preserve and celebrate vintage agricultural machinery by keeping it in active use rather than behind museum glass. They fulfil this through:

  • Active Restoration: Encouraging members to maintain and restore vintage tractors, cars, and stationary engines.

  • Practical Demonstration: Hosting "Working Days" where the public can see historical farming techniques, like ploughing and harvesting, in action.

  • Charitable Impact: Using their passion for machinery as a vehicle for fundraising. Their primary goal is to turn local hobbyist events into significant financial contributions for organisations like Hope House Children’s Hospice and The Teenage Cancer Trust.

Vision: A Living History for the Community

The club’s vision is to remain the central hub for vintage enthusiasts in Shropshire and Herefordshire, ensuring that the region's rich farming history isn't forgotten by younger generations. Their long-term goals include:

  • Fostering Community: Creating a consistent, welcoming space (at Ludlow Brewery) where enthusiasts of all ages can share technical knowledge and camaraderie.

  • Educational Outreach: Providing a "living museum" experience through their events, allowing the general public to connect with the mechanical roots of modern food production.

  • Sustainable Giving: Maintaining a reputation as one of the region's most reliable charity supporters, proving that a niche hobby can have a massive social impact.

The "Brimfield Way": Their philosophy is built on the idea that vintage machinery is best enjoyed when it is dirty, working, and doing good.
